It's really quite late.

I'm tired.

I want to go to sleep, but I keep seeing this journal pop up. My finals have been over. I'm about a third of the way through my summer break.
It's been long and slightly retarded.

Money is difficult to come by.
People seem to not understand this fact unless they, themselves have to live on the feeding, not the fed end - understand?

It's kind of annoying that way.

In roughly 2 weeksish (less than by a bit), hopefully :iconbleedingtiger: and I will be taking leave on a bit of an extended phototrip.

We plan to do a bit of ghost hunting a few hours south of here.

Any ideas on planning with a really tight budget? I already plan on packing a large cooler with meals for the 2 nights we'd spend out there... Let me know!

Going to Decatur? I had an ex that went to Millikin and had some ghost encounters in one of the theatres there. Had someone brush against her in the costume shop (no one living was near her) and heard a bunch of stories about the graveyard on the main drag.

Are there any ghost-ish happenings nearby you? I would think there would be something around Starved Rock itself.

Funny story about Millikin's campus: I was out there once, we had just left a bar. I'm the kind of person that likes to be in the back of the group so I can make sure all folk are accounted for... as we began walking down the sidewalk back to the house, I felt someone slap my rear. When I turned to look there was absolutely no way anyone could have done it, so I'm convinced that Decatur contains randy ghosts as well as your normal haunting types.

On that note, no we won't be visiting there... perhaps another weekend :D

I actually don't live near Starved Rock - I'm in Mount Prospect, about 30 min outside the city. But of course, I'm sure Starved Rock is haunted: You know its namesake, right? :o

I think I got that idea because of the pic in the featured slot on your profile page.

And randy ghosts are absolutely the best kind.

Way better than the angry-brooding-malevolent-icy-cold ones.

Not sure what you mean about namesake. Other than the reason it's called Starved Rock, which, yes, probably comes with a fair amount of the angry Native American type of ghosts.
